The best thing you can do to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your dog is to be prepared, this means you will need items in your vehicle that will keep your dog happy. These items are; Food – water bowl, a blanket, Lead, and doggy bags. The main thing is to the have your beloved dog secured as you would with a seatbelt.

As you know you shouldn’t leave your dog in a car when it’s hot, you should check what the weather is going to be like before travelling. If the weather is going to be very warm you should get the car as cool as you can for the benefit of the dog so that t doesn’t become distressed.
Ensure That Your Pet Is Safe
With regards to keeping your dogs movement limtied you can use either the dogs lead and wrap it around the seat belt or use another item such as a purpose-built harness to make sure your dog is comfortable and secure.
Keeping Rover Happy
If you’re traveling a long distance, you will need to stop off somewhere so that both you and your furry friend can have a rest break and stretch your legs.
This is also a good time to feed them so that they are happy and ready to jump back into the car and carry on the journey.
